At Towards the Horizon, we deliver specialist Behaviour Support and Counselling services, grounded in positive, person‑centred, and trauma‑informed practice. Our work focuses on understanding people in the context of their lived experiences, relationships, environments, and goals.
Our team brings together Behaviour Support Practitioners and counsellors from a range of professional backgrounds and experiences. Our Behaviour Support Practitioners are approved by the NDIS Commission to deliver specialist Positive Behaviour Support in line with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, and our counselling services are delivered ethically and professionally to both NDIS participants and private clients.
By offering both Behaviour Support and counselling, we are able to respond to a broad range of needs using services that are distinct, purpose‑specific, and grounded in the same person‑centred and trauma‑informed values.
We have experience supporting individuals across the lifespan through our Behaviour Support and counselling services. Through Behaviour Support, we support people with a wide range of disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and psychosocial disability.
Across our services, our work is informed by strong foundations in positive behaviour support, emotional regulation, communication, and skills‑based therapeutic support, delivered within the scope and purpose of each service.
At Towards the Horizon, we believe in creating environments where people feel understood, respected, and supported. We work collaboratively with individuals, families, and support networks to strengthen relationships, build capacity, and support meaningful participation within community life.
